AcademyThe Student Academy is designed to acquaint students with the Police Department and the criminal Justice system. The Academy provides students with an opportunity to positively interact with police officers so that they will better understand the role of the police in keeping their community safe as well as their own role in the community. The Academy can also be an excellent resource for students considering a career in law enforcement.

The class will meet every Saturday morning for seven weeks from 9:00 a.m. until noon. It will conclude with a small graduation for the students that complete the class. Each class features different topics presented by officers of the Police Department. Some of the topics include: Vehicle stops, DUI, crime scene and underage drinking.
