PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Answering telephone and
emergency 911 calls, dispatching police, fire and other emergency
personnel, and recording pertinent information and computer entry.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A high
school diploma or GED, previous experience in communications,
secretarial or working with the public preferred, must be a U.S. Citizen
and a valid Kansas driver’s license required. Typing skills of 30 WPM. Personnel are assigned
to 12-hour shifts.
SELECTION PROCESS
Includes a
typing test, written exam, psychological evaluation,
medical exam, oral board interview, background
investigation, polygraph & urinalysis/drug screen.
SALARY RANGE
$26,070 to
$39,105 annually. Pay incentives are given for college,
previous experience and bi-lingual skills. The City of
